Partisan the Sea Folio Ad

Our friends at Paper and Stich, Jacksonville’s best design/craft/art blog said some nice things about Partisan the Sea. Be sure to check the out this fabulous local blog.

This week was a huge week for promotion. Ads were designed (see above), flyers and postcards were printed, artists were working like crazy and the full on promotional push began.

We confirmed a new band for the Friday opening and also finalized the after parties at Shantytown. Cuz the beat don’t stop when the party is over downtown, it just moves to Springfield for more DJs and bands.

Picayunes will be playing their first Jacksonville show so make sure and come out to see the premier of this new band.

The Friday after party at Shantytown will feature DJ Biggie Tea and Joe E. Fresh as GHETTOBLASTER! Free Keg.

The Artwalk after party on October 1st will feature bands Helios Eye, Paper Scissors Rocket and more tba plus $2 Ying Ling pints.

Shantytown is located in Springfield
22 West 6th Street (6th and Main)

We’ll have posters for sale, political giveaways and a raffle. Are you into antique furniture? There will be great deals on antique furniture reclaimed from the depths of the Churchwell building. Most stuff is 100+ years in age. Could be some good deals. Bring your wallet! You probably want to clear your event calendar for this one. Srsly.

Finally, we are planning a volunteer clean up day on Saturday September 20th from 11:00-3:00 at the space downtown. If you are interested, leave a comment.

  1. DUDES!

Great job on the show. I would say that it was a huge success.

It got folks talking, debating and just plain jazzed about how design can
push and pull at issues that need thoughtful dialogue.

Kudos to everyone involved. Plus: Joey pulled a constant watch and put a human tool box together of
great talent and willing spirits to make this really fun. Good work bro!

It was refreshing to see such variety on the walls, with a great mix of national, regional and local talent.
    My jaw dropped often.

    CONGRATS!
